Terms of Use.
Early mainnet software
Cloakr runs on Robinhood Chain mainnet. The contracts and circuits have not completed an independent audit, and a bug could cause a loss of funds. Only use amounts you can afford to lose.
Introduction
These terms cover the website at cloakr.tech, the web app, the SDK and the relayer run by Cloakr Labs. They are meant to be short, and to make the limits of what we do clear.
Agreement
By using cloakr.tech, the Cloakr app, the SDK or the Cloakr relayer (together, the Services) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Cloakr, we and us mean Cloakr Labs.
What Cloakr is
Cloakr is software for making private payments on Robinhood Chain. It includes smart contracts that hold shielded ETH and USDG, an interface that builds zero-knowledge proofs in your browser, an SDK, and a relayer that submits transactions for you.
Cloakr is non-custodial. We never hold your funds or your keys. The contracts run on a public blockchain we do not control; if our interface or relayer is unavailable, your notes stay in the pool and can be withdrawn with any compatible client.
Who can use it
By using the Services you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement
- You are not a sanctioned person and are not acting for one
- Using the Services is legal where you live
Risks you accept
- The software is new and unaudited, and may contain bugs in the contracts, circuits or interface
- Blockchain transactions are final; we cannot reverse, cancel or refund them
- Losing access to your wallet means losing access to your notes, and we cannot recover them
- The relayer may be slow or offline, and network fees and conditions can change
- Privacy depends on how you use it; withdrawing unusual amounts or reusing addresses can make activity easier to link
Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to launder money, evade sanctions, finance terrorism, commit fraud or move the proceeds of crime. Do not attack, overload or try to exploit the Services.
We may limit access to the interface or the relayer for addresses or regions where we believe the law requires it.
Fees
Shielding is free. Withdrawals from a pool pay a 0.3% protocol fee, and the relayer takes a fee from the amount to cover gas. Fees are shown before you confirm and may change for future transactions.
Viewing keys
A viewing key lets whoever holds it read your shielded history. Share it only with people you trust. Once shared, a viewing key cannot be taken back.
No advice
Nothing in the Services is financial, legal or tax advice. You are responsible for your own decisions and for any taxes on your transactions.
Disclaimers and liability
The Services are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Cloakr Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of funds arising from your use of the Services.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the Services means you accept it. Questions can go to @GetCloakr on X.
